Versatility of the Breed
The breed is capable of much more that we at Keewatin Farm
ask our horses to do. The breed is noted for many skills, proven
by the fact that Canadiens have done well at the Annual Spruce
Meadows ‘Battle of the Breeds’.
The breed is used for at least the following:
 |
|
Dressage
Jumping
Endurance Riding
MountainPacking
Ranch Work
Trail Riding |
Police Work Eventing Logging Farm Work Combined Driving Carriage Work
Wagon/Sleigh
Rides
|

Talk about
versatility. Friends in Quebec (Ferme
Franchere) have
a stallion
which is used for logging in the winter, (singly or
in pair) and in the summer goes competition jumping. This
little chestnut
horse won first place in jumping at the 1999 Quebec
Summer Games and is not even 15 hands high!
