Zeke and George have been working with a teamster
this winter of 2004-2005 and are coming along very well. For
the summer they are going to be working at the Motherwell
Homestead - a national historic site near Abernethy Saskatchewan,
where the farm is meant to be a working farm during the summer
seaon. They should get a lot of experience with people, pulling
wagons and other equipment. The teamster intends to drive
them back and forth to work - 7 miles one-way - so they should
be in very fit condition by the time fall rolls around.
Zeke is a little larger - about 15.2- and about 100 pounds
heavier than George (15.1 hh) but their confirmation and appearance
is very similar. They look pretty snappy when stepping out
, not too suprising because their mother Saroma Elegant Superbe
also has that characteristic under harness.
